The Start Page - Rules:
To get directly back to this start page, refresh your browser.
On these pages you will see,
Rhymes and Poems wrote by Me.
All the words rhymed in my brain,
And written down to keep me sane.
To view the poems you should tap Next,
For if you don't you may be vexed.
Cos on this page is where you'll stay,
And that may cause you deep dismay.
To go back to words read before,
You do not need a secret door,
Nor anything that's quite so devious,
You simply have to tap on Previous.
Do not tap on Home I say,
Or you will find you're whisked away.
Poetry pages shall be forsaken,
To Normsweb.com you will be taken.
So now the rules have come to end.
There's one thing that I must amend,
I only hope you'll have good times,
Reading through my words and rhymes!
Missing Things:
Written after Scorch's second litter of kittens all died.
Living life, Day by day
These pangs I feel wont go away
Missing things that go astray
Missing things, I hope and pray
Please don't let it be this way.
Newborn life, No cares, No strife
Still they had to fight for life
Missing things, There is no cure
Missing things, So sweet, So pure
Rest in peace, Please, Rest in peace.
Without love, My heart so true
Forever sad and feeling blue
Missing things, An empty space
Missing things that I must face
Life goes on, my life goes on.
Yes, I'm sad I cant pretend
Broken heart I have to mend
Missing things, Yes my friend
Missing things, Will it end?
Forever missing things.
Rescue Cat Poem: (01/June/2016)
Dedicated to all of the struggling local rescue centres
I am a cat in need of rescue.
Paw pads aching as I wander the roads,
I'm sad and I'm stressed, feeling alone.
Why did they dump me? What did I do?
My body is aching, I'm hunting for food,
In need of some water and family I love.
I think I am dying, alone this cold night.
Crying for help with my hearts last hope,
Calling my family, I wish they would hear.
I'm feeling so tired now, I just can't go on.
Closing my heavy eyes, in need of a rest,
My body so drained, emotional wreck.
I must say goodbye, for I fear its the end.
I'm here in extremis, awaiting known fate,
Sudden awareness hits, I'm not alone.
A warm hand on my fur, a soft voice.
Is this the angels, taking me to heaven?
No wait, I don't think so, I still feel alive.
A person around me? Trying to help?
Lifted up in their arms, scared, shivering,
Hurried away, wrapped in a warm blanket.
Lights, noise, cars, people, injection, sleep.
Soft bandages comforting my sore paws,
Food, water, love and a comfy warm bed.
Thankfully, I realise now that I am a rescue cat.
To my rescuers: My thanks is not enough.
You saved me and you brought me back,
When my life, quite sure, I felt was gone.
Paw pads tickled by the warm carpet,
My horrid past is but a memory now.
For I am now a rescued cat, in need of help no more.
Ode to Turkey: (15/May/1998)
The UK CB band was known as 'Turkey Band'.
*names may have been changed*
Talking turkey, so much fun,
Lots of wind-ups to be done.
With Mick and Dave it was secured,
That Q.S.K's would be endured.
With Trish and Ray that made four,
Had me laughing on the floor.
Jolly Roger- that was Brent,
Still not sure if Paul is bent.
Jane and Tony were there aswell,
Remember Darren - we gave him hell.
Josh aswell, cant be forgot,
Sleep, your joking, not a lot.
Frankie and Sonia makes it twelve,
Yet no one was to afraid to delve.
In at the deep end all the while,
Nobody could cramp our style.
Mark was on as smokey one,
And still the fun just was not done.
Taking the micky every night,
We were always quite polite.
I couldnt wait till after tea,
To put my rig on channel three.
But now alas the fun is gone,
The riggy now i frown apon.
I just want a quiet life,
Yet all i hear is fuss and strife.
For all that fun my heart is yearning,
I can not see those days returning.
There it is, my tale is told,
Still dreaming of those days of old.
Too Damn Hot: (22/Jul/2022)
Written on a very hot night.
Too Damn Hot,
Too Damn Hot,
So Damn Hot,
I Moan a lot!
99 Rescue Cats: (04/May/2026)
Based on, and set to 99 Red Balloons by Nena.
You and I, in a little pet-shop
Buy a bag of cat food with the money we've got
Feed the cats at the break of dawn
'Til one by one, they were fed
Back at base, cats are everywhere
Flash the message: "CATS ARE OUT THERE"
Lazing in the summer sun
99 rescue cats go by
99 rescue cats
Lazing in the summer sun
Panic bells, it's red alert
There's another cat from somewhere else
The rescue team springs to life
Opens up a rescue file
Always go the extra mile
As 99 rescue cats go by
99 Unfit heartbeat
99 Vet nurses meet
To worry, worry, flit and scurry
Call the vets out in a hurry
Not the news we were hoping for
This is it boys, looking poor
The specialist is on the line
As 99 rescue cats go by
99 hopes in the air
With super high-tech vet fighters
Everything resulting zero
Everyone so hard at work
With orders to detoxify
To clarify the bad fungi
Scrambling to find out why
99 rescue cats go by
As 99 rescue cats go by
99 cats I have had
And every one in need of care
It's not over, but it's looking gritty
With this mess that was a kitty
It looks like it's pretty clear
It can't improve, its end is near
So here is this dying cat
I say goodbye, and let it go...
Lost Words: (07/Oct/2024)
About poetry lost over time.
The words that once, had filled your mind,
written down on paper, to help you unwind.
You remember the titles, You're sure they were wrote.
Impossible feelings, how can you emote?
Your words disapeared, poems faded and gone,
You try to find papers, they were written upon.
The search becomes fruitless, you begin to lose hope,
Your rhymes lost to time now, not sure how to cope.
More Coming Soon:

Sadly many poems have been lost due to computers going bad and scraps of paper disapearing, but I'm hoping to perhaps remember some, if I can jog my memory.
Of course, there will be new poems when I get inspiration, and these pages will serve as a secure storage / backup for them.
